UpGreen™ certification applies exclusively to existing homes, recognizing the value and potential of houses that have already stood the test of time. The certification evaluates a home’s current performance based on measured data and inspection at the time of assessment.
An UpGreen™ certification is valid for 12 months reflecting the condition and performance of the home as verified during evaluation. Because homes change over time, retesting is required to maintain certification and ensure that performance standards continue to be met after upgrades, renovations, or changes in occupancy.
This approach ensures that UpGreen™ certification remains accurate, credible, and meaningful—providing ongoing confidence for homeowners, buyers, and real estate professionals.
